Visa
Most EU congress participants will not require a visa to visit Greece (Greece is a party to the Schengen Agreement). People holding an EU residence card issued under the EU regulations on free movement issued by a Schengen country do not need a visa. The Hellenic Republic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published a list of countries with a visa requirement and visa-free countries. www.mfa.gr
Should you require a visa, 11th Trends in Medical Mycology recommends that you apply for the document well in advance at Greek Diplomatic and Consular Posts in your country. If you apply less than 14 days before your scheduled departure, the Greek Immigration Service cannot guarantee that you will obtain your visa in time. Please also remember that your passport will need to be valid for 3 months beyond the end of your projected stay.
