Only one month left and the 10^th edition of Trends in Medical Mycology (TIMM-10) will start. On behalf of the ECMM and the TIMM-10 Executive Committee, we are looking forward to welcome you in Aberdeen!
For face-to-face participants at TIMM-10, we are sharing some practical and important C-19 information on testing rules & regulations currently in place in Scotland.

PLANNING FOREIGN TRAVEL AND INFORMATION ON TESTING FOR PEOPLE ENTERING SCOTLAND.

Green list countries and areas – link

You may be yes or no fully vaccinated

Before travelling to Scotland from a green list country or area, you must:

• complete a passenger locator form – You can submit the form any time in the 48 hours before you arrive in the UK / Scotland
• take a COVID-19 testbefore you travel to Scotland
• take a COVID-19 PCR test within 2 days of arriving in Scotland – you can use the CTM booking portal or make use of the rapid antigen test at Aberdeen Airport, see below. The congress centre is not allowed to offer tests.

Amber list countries and areas – link

You should be fully vaccinated

‘Fully vaccinated’ means that it’s at least 14 days since you’ve had your final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

To count as fully vaccinated, you must also have been vaccinated in one of these countries:

• the UK, including as part of a UK vaccine rollout overseas – with an NHS approved vaccine
• an EU member state – with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA)
• Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or Vatican City – with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the Swiss vaccination programme
• the USA – with a vaccine approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

If you’ve not been vaccinated in one of these countries, with an approved vaccine, you should follow the rules for someone who has not been fully vaccinated (detailed below).

Before you travel you’ll need to make sure you have a record of your vaccination. You’ll need to show this when you travel.

• if you have been vaccinated in Scotland, you can get a paper record of vaccination from NHS Inform.
• if you have been vaccinated in an EU member state, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or Vatican City, you can get proof of vaccination through the European Digital COVID certificate.
• if you have been vaccinated in the US and normally live there, you’ll need to take your CDC card when you travel and provide proof of your US address

You must also:

• declare that you have been fully vaccinated on your passenger locator form
• take a COVID-19 testbefore travelling to Scotland – if you are travelling from Spain, it is recommended that you choose a PCR test before departure
• take a COVID-19 PCR test within 2 days of arriving in Scotland – you can use the CTM booking portalor make use of the rapid antigen test at Aberdeen Airport, see below. The congress centre is not allowed to offer tests.

Red list countries and areas & not fully vaccinated – link

For people originating from a red listed country or area and / or those not fully vaccinated, it is recommend to attend TIMM-10 virtual.
In case you have already registered for on-site attendance for TIMM-10, please reach out to the TIMM-10 secretariat in order to migrate your registration to digital attendance.
